    Description

    Offered is this 19th century Cantonese China hand carved sandalwood stash box of finest quality. Masterfully and intricately done on
    5 to 6 levels of carving
    . Every flower's pedal, every character including background is intact with nothing missing. The sandalwood has aged to a gorgeous toffee color. Measures 9 3/4" wide, 3 3/4" front to back, 3" tall. The lock's movement is smooth and the key is original, but the oval eyelet designed to accept the locks catch is broke, so it will not lock. Can definitely be repaired...see last photo.  Small felt pad on bottom to correct minor wobble seen in 11th photo.
